Communication Specialist - Graphic Designer

We are seeking a Communications Specialist - Graphic Designer for our Canoga Park (Los Angeles), CA office. This position may be filled at this level or at one level higher Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each) The successful individual will perform work with minimal direction: 40% - Graphic design experience. Ability to develop strategic branding and advertising campaigns with executives and COE leads. Work with Communications team and otherinternal managers to develop graphic, creative marketing materials and branding elements to increase the effectiveness of internal and external messages. 40% - Exhibit design experience. Ability to graphically communicate a message that tells a story in a three-dimensional space and work closely with team members, content specialists, fabricators, technical specialists and audiovisual experts. Create graphic design elements such as large format display imagery, informative collateral, digital interactive infographics and media. 20% - Interactive media design experience. Ability to create the overall look and feel of a wide range of interactive communication products which often use text, data, graphics, sound, animation and otherdigital and visual effects. Possess knowledge of industry-standard specialized graphics and multimedia software packages. Requirements Reqiores a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 10 years of experience in a directly related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understand Aerojet Rocketdyne branding, layout, color theory and typography in both print and digital media. Creates materials that reflect established graphic and visual standards. Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Animate, Acrobat, etc. Knowledge of visual media processes including, graphic design and print media; presentation creation skills, photo, video and audio visual; multimedia and web design. Security requirements, clearances, and procedures. Communicate effectively, both verbally, visually and in writing. Integrate multiple sources/media into one communication product Recommend communication solutions appropriate to customer requirements by analyzing and interpreting customer's audience, desired results, and budget constraints. Develop and optimize workflow techniques to manage visual media projects effectively and efficiently. Plan and coordinate design projects involving a variety of media. Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and prioritize workload.   Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Will require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
