The tasks typically support concept development thru deployment of rocket engine propulsion products during their initial phase. Job duties involve support analysis creation, initial fielding and delivered product support. This position will ensure that fielded products meet customer expectations. This effort will be in support of integration and testing of the NASA Space Launch System. The successful candidate will provide Engineering Support to the RS-25 Engine Systems and Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) in all facets of the activities and responsibilities of the team.  Responsibilities of the team include supporting Field Engineering at NASA sites including; Michoud Assembly Facility, Kennedy Space Center and Stennis Space Center with integrating the RS-25 into the SLS Core Stage for Stage Testing and Flight. The team is also responsible for defining the RS-25 Engine Control System operations and developing and providing software in support of hotfire testing. The team is responsible for reviewing and analyzing test data to assess that the RS-25 engine is meeting test objectives which will ensure successful operation in flight. The team uses Earned Value Management to ensure that cost and schedule targets are met. Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each) Working with minimal direction:   40% - Participate in SLS Core Stage working groups which support engine integration into the vehicle. These working groups resolve engineering issues associated with Engine Installation, Stage Testing and Flights which will occur at MAF, SSC and KSC respectively. Periodic travel to these field sites may be required (less than 10%).  Processing and/or reviewing changes to OMRs/TMRs/MMRs, LCCs/TCCs, and WADs would be required as necessary.   20% - The successful candidate will participate in Engine Control System Boards, such as the Design Change Board (DCB) and the Software Configuration Control Board (SCCB) representing Engine Systems interests in the decisions that are made. The candidate would help coordinate the resolution of Engine Control System technical issues by assembling and leading diverse engineering teams.   20% - Provide test data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of RS-25 design changes by reviewing available engine hotfire data. This involves supporting engine hotfire pre-test and data review activities and coordinating the resolution of technical issues generated from testing by assembling and leading diverse engineering teams.   20% - The successful candidate will be a Control Account Manager (CAM) for several engineering accounts with over $10 million in budget. Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline and 9 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Additional Requirements: Solid academic and professional track record of accomplishment expected, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little direction. Demonstrated leadership & teamwork skills are a must. Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Software applications with proficiency in MS Excel to analyze data. Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) is required.   Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Systems Engineering. Knowledge of aircraft/spacecraft maintenance and fluid/mechanical systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of RS-25 Rocket Engine Systems and Test Operations is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
